Field of Honor Returns for the Fourth Year in Georgetown

Georgetown?s patriotic United States flag display will return for the fourth year beginning on November 9, 2024. 300 flags will fill the field on Kaminski Street with viewing day and night. Many of these flags will be in the memory of service men and women and this year first responders as well. The event is a project of the Pawleys Island and Georgetown Kiwanis Clubs and International Paper. Thousands of dollars of scholarship money will be distributed among Georgetown county high school seniors. Nearly 20-thousand dollars in scholarship money has been awarded so far thanks to generous donations of businesses and individuals. The money is raised through sponsorships and those who dedicate flags. Opening ceremony will be Saturday November 9, 2024 at 2p.m. The Pawleys Island Concert band will be featured.
