Leadership Georgetown County (LGC) is dedicated to developing informed, engaged, and empowered leaders who are committed to driving positive change in our community. Through immersive programs, hands-on learning experiences, and meaningful connections, we equip individuals with the knowledge, skills, and networks needed to lead with impact and foster a stronger, more vibrant Georgetown County.
 

A program of the Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce, LGC is designed to mobilize leaders by enhancing knowledge of key regional issues, strengthening personal leadership skills and establishing strong community connections.
 

Lead

We believe in the power of service to bring people together and create positive change in our communities.  An important component of LGC is community leadership projects. Each year, project teams work collaboratively on initiatives that address a need in the community.

Program Structure

September – May:  The program kicks off with a powerful overnight retreat in September, followed by one full-day session each month. These sessions include interactive discussions, site visits, and presentations that cover key issues facing our community.
 

A special overnight trip to Columbia gives participants a chance to learn about state-level leadership and its impact on local communities.
