Digestive health physician joins Tidelands Health, accepting new patients
A board-certified gastroenterologist has joined Tidelands Health and is accepting new patients.
Dr. Raif Elsakr specializes in diagnosing and treating a variety of digestive health conditions, including Barrett’s esophagus, gastroesophageal reflux disease, celiac disease, cirrhosis, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, pancreatitis and more.
He sees patients at Tidelands Health Gastroenterology at The Market Common, 2200 Crow Lane in Myrtle Beach. Dr. Elsakr is fluent in Arabic.
Dr. Elsakr earned his medical degree from Ain Shams University and completed an internal medicine residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, where he taught medicine for two years. He also completed a fellowship at University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Memphis.
He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Gastroenterology.
