    Board-certified oncologist joins Tidelands Health, accepting new patients
    A board-certified physician specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and blood diseases has joined the Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network and is accepting new patients.
    Dr. Katie Kennedy has expertise in diagnosing and treating a variety of oncology and hematology conditions, including leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, bone marrow disorders and solid tumors/cancers.
    Dr. Kennedy sees patients at Tidelands Health Oncology locations at 4181 Highway 17 in Murrells Inlet and 2405 N. Fraser St. in Georgetown.
    She earned her medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, where she served as chief resident. She also completed a fellowship in hematology oncology at East Carolina University.
    Dr. Kennedy is certified in internal medicine and hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
