BEACH SERVICES CONTINUES TO SUPPORT PEOPLE WITH AUTISM AND SAVES THE DAY June 3 2024, Surfside Beach SC:

We are grateful for the continued support of Beach Services and their team. But for them and their Autism Readiness, things could have gone much differently in June of 2023.

As faithful participants in Autism Readiness training, one of their guards, Jesse Colitti, rescued a young autistic man who was caught in a rip current. As an Autism Ready business, they have enrolled in autism training and provide a discount to Autism Travel Club member families.

Becky Large, Champion Autism Network Executive Director, says about the ongoing participation of the organization and the efforts of Jesse Colitti, “the continued support of Beach Services is so important. As an essential service provider to beach goers, it is paramount that they understand and be able to recognize people with autism. The efforts of Jesse Colitti in June of 2023 reinforce the importance of the Autism Readiness training. We look forward to honoring Mr. Colitti at the Town of Surfside Beach Council meeting on Monday, June 10, 2024.”
